ABOUT A LOVING COUPLE

"Day" and "Night" usually perching together as a loving couple. The male is listening to his name: Day and the obedient looking somewhat smaller wife name is Night.
I know them,
because they live near my feeder year after year.
Day is a very aggressive defender of the
territory:
The Feeder!
Mostly he chases the other doves.
He eats a lot
and very fast.
---------------------------------------------------
When is no more room
in the full stomach:
they love to take
a sunbath.
On these relaxed occasion
Day expresses his desire
to make love
to Night.
Than the chase starts
round and round. because the obedient looking
little wife
has no intention
to give in
to Day's ardent desire!
---------------------------------------------------
Out of breath after a long chase
Day calms down'
stops trying to think:
But than Night talks to him very gently:
"Look Day: there are just to many doves!"
"We cannot eat in peace and quiet
becuse the other doves
want the food"
"There is a limit on Earth to everything!"
-------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
Night got sad and with tears in her eyes
tells the story to Day
about the
PASSENGER PIGEONS!!!
" Day you remember how a species
becomes extinct from the Earth?"
Passenger Pigeons,
were considered just too many by the humans
and they shot by hundreds
and thousands the birds
until the last bullett killed the last Pigeon."
******************************
"And now there is not one Passenger Pigeon
on this Earth."
Day I have to tell you: It is nice to have a big Family,
but that time is past.
With the sad story of the Passenger Pigeon
our Teacher the Buddha tells you:
"MODERATION IS THE KEY"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
If you want to live a happy life:
Keep the key all the time:
MODERATION IN YOUR ACTIONS:
THE GOLDEN MIDDLE ROAD."

  1. Heisann!

I feel sorry to be a Norwegian when I hear that Norwegian tourists shoot endangered animals in New Zealand. I hope they will be made responsible, punished and fined painfully. They have committed a shameful crime! No forgiveness!
    Have a nice Easter!
